Eye care professionals specialize in understanding how the human eye really works, as well as diseases and conditions that affect your vision – many of which do not have obvious symptoms. Eye doctor know how age and risk factors affect vision over time for young and old, and they understand the benefits and features of corrective lenses including eyeglasses and contacts.

Our optometrist takes the time to explain the results of your eye exam, describe your options and listen to your eye care needs. Because maintaining good eye health is an ongoing partnership, we encourage you to ask questions and share your health information, which could be vital to monitoring, diagnosing and treating potential vision problems.

Meet Our Doctor

Dr. M. Craig Denton

Optometric Physician

Dr. Denton grew up in Chickasha, Oklahoma, where he graduated from Chickasha High School. He completed his pre-optometry studies at Southwestern Oklahoma State University and Oklahoma State University. Dr. Denton received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston and completed his optometric training at the University of Houston College of Optometry. There he was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society and graduated summa cum laude.

Dr. Denton has been practicing Optometry at McRay-Denton Vision Center in Newcastle since 1985. Along with his practice of family optometry, Dr. Denton specializes in contact lenses, laser vision correction, and subnormal vision. He currently is a member of the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Denton and his wife, Cheryl, also of Chickasha, have four children, Hunter, Parker, Camden, and Courtlan.
